PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high mobility, a large current on/off ratio, and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the organic transistor which has an organic semiconductor layer, which contains at least one kind of compound expressed by general formula 1. In formula, X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>6</SB>independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branch, or cyclic alkyl group, a straight-chain, branch, or cyclic alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group each, Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and (n) represents 0 or 1.
