PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably suppress the reduction of an electricity removing light quantity by reliably cleaning an irradiation surface of an electricity removing part for removing electricity by irradiating a photoreceptor surface with light.SOLUTION: A transfer unit 120 travels by stretching over a plurality of rollers 125A, 125B, and includes: an endless intermediate transfer belt 125 capable of coming into contact with peripheral surfaces of photoreceptors 121M, 121C, 121Y, and 121Bk; a primary transfer roller 126 disposed to face these photoreceptors so as to sandwich the intermediate transfer belt 125 and making the intermediate transfer belt 125 approach the photoreceptors; and an irradiation surface cleaning part 128 having a contact part 128a capable of coming into contact with the irradiation surface 50a which is disposed between the irradiation surface 50a of the electricity removing part 50 for irradiating light as the electricity removing light on the surfaces of the photoreceptors and the surfaces of the photoreceptors. According to the movement of the irradiation surface cleaning part 128 accompanied with the movement by the intermediate transfer belt 125 and the primary transfer roller 126 in the direction separating from the photoreceptors 121M, 121C, 121Y, and 121Bk, the contact part 128a scrapes on the irradiation surface 50a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
