According to the invention, described are a method and an anti-theft system for vehicle wheels, which comprises: a nut and wheel stud presence system formed by: a plurality of detection terminals which detect the presence of nuts and fastening wheel studs through a plurality of sensors, a transmitter that processes the signal and sends it through an antenna; and a receiver that processes the signal emitted by each system of the presence of nuts and wheel studs, which is formed by: a receiving antenna, an acoustic signal module and a visual signal module, that emit the alarm signal through a speaker and a light indicator.
