ELECTROLITE ADDITIVE AGENT CONTAINING GALLIUM SULFATE

Novel, 5-10wt.% gallium (111) sulphate additive for lead-accumulators improves their charging characteristics and facilitates the reactivation of secondary (deposit) layers. Additive mixts. also contain 10-20 wt% MgSO4.7H2O, 38-62 wt% Al2(SO4)318H2O, and 8-15 wt% 3CdSO4.8H2O or stoichiometric equivalents of these, but with different or no molecules of water of crystallisation. Opt. 12-18 wt% of hydroxy--phosphonium acid derivs of general formula (1) or hydroxy-carboxylic acids are also present. In formula (1). R1 is H atom, alkyl or aryl gp; R2 H, alkyl, aryl or PO(OH)2-gp.
