<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing pollutant capable of reducing an installation cost and an operation cost. <P>SOLUTION: An air washer device 10 for introducing air to be treated from a clean room, has atomizing nozzles 11a-14a, and a supplying-circulating water vessel 20 which is divided into a first supplying-circulating water vessel 21 and a second supplying-circulating water vessel 22. The air to be treated passes through an eliminator 17, when the mist of atomizing water is eliminated, and then flows into an air conditioning chamber 40 at a low temperature. A pretreating chamber 11 of the air washer device 10 is connected to a pipe 34 for drainage and waste water is discharged from a draining pipe 35 through a waste heat recovering heat exchanger 33 by natural dropping.
