[Also in Division D1] In drying textile material on sieve drums 4 under suction produced by fan wheels 6, the drives 9 for the fan wheels are arranged outside the housing as are the bearings for the fan shafts 10. Each fan shaft 10 is supported by means of subdivided pillow blocks 11 and 12 which are mounted on a drive box 13. A fan motor is adjustably connected to the fan shaft 10 and is mounted on the drive box 13. All driving parts are covered by a perforated casing 17. Rails 18 which are slidable and adjustable in height in frame 19 are provided beneath the fan wheels to support the wheels during replacement of bearings 11 and 12. Alternatively, supporting elements consisting of a bearing block of adjustable height arranged beneath the shaft 10 within the housing and a two-part clamping device arranged between a disc 16, provided with cooling coils, and bearing 11 are provided (Fig. 5, not shown). |
