PURPOSE:To prevent a computer from being robbed or illegally used. CONSTITUTION:The PC-CPU 51 of a power unit executes a robbery prevention routine stored in a ROM 52 in response to an interruption caused by a timer 51a. The PC-CPU 51 controls an I/O driver 59 according to the robbery prevention routine. Consequently, switches SW1 and SW2 of a DCS 80 are turned ON and OFF under the control. When external power supply is cut off or the attachment of an AC adapter is reset after an operator, etc., performs operation for alarm operation specification, the PC-CPU 51 performs control so that the switches SW1 and SW2 of the DCS 80 both turn ON. When the switches SW1 and SW2 are both ON, the backup voltage VBK supplied from a power circuit 70 is supplied to a buzzer(Bz) 81, which continuously sounds until a battery is fully discharged, thereby indicating illegal handling by a 3rd party to the periphery. |
