This invention provides a resin composition for a liquid crystal panel, which can simultaneously solve a problem of occurrence of uneven coating and a problem of occurrence of uneven drying, and a color filter and a liquid crystal panel using the resin composition. The resin composition for a liquid crystal panel comprises a binder resin, a surfactant, and a solvent. The contact angle theta (degree) of a droplet of the resin composition with a clean glass surface and the surface tension sigma(mN/m) of the resin composition satisfies the following formulae (1), (2), and (3). theta <= 5 x (sigma0 - sigma) (1) sigma <= sigma0 - 1 (2) theta <= 15 (3).
