Sound-insulating door-leaf to door case transition - with cavity shaped door case for multiple enlargement of rabbeted cavity

The door case is designed so that use is made of special constructive measures, esp. enlargement of the rabbetted space to a multiple extent, for material improvement of sound insulation effects at the points of transition from door-leaf door case. The door case is in the form of a cavity shaped-section unit, to achieve multiple enlargement of the rabbet space (6) formed by door rabbet (8), case rabbet (7) and sealing pieces (9, 10). The door case cavity space (5) is connected with the rabbeted space by means of holes passing through (4)with insulating material (11) to absorb sound waves. Effective sound insulation can be attained, even with thin door leaves.
