<p>Edging is made of an elastic plastic based on epoxy resin-thioplast (i.e. polysulphide polymer). The plastics may contain a filler e.g. quartz and/or corundum. The edging is hard-wearing and non-slip. Specifically, the material used is a mixt. of liq., solvent-free epoxy resins and polysulphide polymers. The epoxies have an epoxy value 0.45-0.55. The polysulphide has mol. wt. 800-5000. Ratio in the mixt. of epoxy : polysulphide = 0.5-1.5 : 0.5-3.0 by wt. The mixt. may contain polyamines and/or polyamidoamines, as hardeners. the filler may be quartz flour, present in wt. ratio 5-9 per 1 pbw plastics.</p> |
