<p>PURPOSE:To provide an antitheft device for a vehicle which can sufficiently improve reliability of antitheft function by fetching a part of an ignition device into an ignition switch, so that discriminating the part is made difficult to prevent its function from being easily restored when generated abnormality. CONSTITUTION:In an ignition switch 3 for opening/closing a power supply route to an ignition device 4 from a power supply and limiting steering a vehicle by operating a key, abnormality of destruction, removal, etc., of a switch mechanism 6 and a lock mechanism is detected by sensors 7, 8. In a burglarproofing unit 5, in a lock condition, in the case of inputting an abnormality signal from the sensor, a function of at least one part of an ignition device, fetched into the ignition switch 3, is controlled to place the ignition device in an inoperative condition, and starting an engine is disabled.</p> |
