PURPOSE:A lubicating oil composition useful for a internal combustion engine equipped with an engine, gear, bearing, especially catalytic converter, having improved lubricating properties, lowering coefficient of friction, obtained by adding specific amount of a partial ester of fatty acid with glycerol and a fatty acid to a lubricating oil base. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil base is blended with (A) 0.1-3.0wt% partial ester of fatty acid (preferably 8-24C) with glycerol, (B) 0.01-1.0wt% fatty acid (preferably 8-24C), and, if necessary, (C) oxy-molybdenyl organophosphoro dithioate sulfide and/or a metal salt of dithiocarbamate, to give the desired lubricating oil composition. |
