PURPOSE:To enable recording with continuous gradation and to obtain a high- quality image by forming a developer layer on a support and further forming a porous microcapsule layer contg. a precursor of a dye, a photosensitive resin and a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:One side of a support 2 such as paper is coated with a developer layer 10 in which a developer 8 capable of allowing a precursor 4 of a dye to develop a color by a reaction is dispersed in a binder 7 and the coated side is further coated with a microcapsule layer 9 in which porous microcapsules 3 contg. the precursor 4, a photosensitive resin 5 curing under light energy and a photopolymn. initiator 6 are dispersed in a binder 7. The amt. of the precursor 4 released from the porous microcapsules 5 is controlled according to the degree of curing of the photosensitive resin 5 in the microcapsules 3 by irradiation with light. A high-quality image having continuous gradation can be recorded. |
