Process for separating aromatics from hydrocarbon mixtures of any given aromatic content

In this process, the aromatics are separated from the other hydrocarbons of the starting product by extractive distillation, N-substituted morpholines whose substituents have no more than seven C atoms being employed as selective solvents. It is proposed here that the starting product, before entry into the extractive distillation column, be heated under indirect heat exchange with hot solvent to a temperature between 130 and 150 DEG C.
