A filter for a plasma display apparatus, a manufacturing method thereof, and a plasma display apparatus containing the same are provided to simplify a structure thereof by adding a color correction and near infrared ray shielding material to an anti-reflecting film layer. An anti-reflecting film layer(410) is used for preventing a dazzling effect, shielding near infrared rays, and performing a color correction process. An electromagnetic shielding film layer(420) is formed on a lower part of the anti-reflecting film layer in order to shield electromagnetic waves. The anti-reflecting film layer is formed with an anti-reflecting layer(410b) or the anti-reflecting layer as a lamination of a color correction and near infrared ray shielding layer(410b1) and a unit anti-reflecting layer(410b2).
