MOLDED ARTICLE THAT CONSISTS OF BMC MOLDING COMPOUNDS WITH IMPROVED SURFACE

PURPOSE: To improve surface properties of a molding made of a BMC molding material by using a material containing 2-12 wt.% crystalline unsaturated polyester styrene-insoluble at room temperature and further prescribed components as the BMC molding material. CONSTITUTION: This molding uses a BMC molding material (a curable paste-like molding material composed of an unsaturated polyester resin, glass fiber, a filler and a peroxide) containing 2-12 wt.% styrene-insoluble crystalline polyester. The BMC material contains 8-20 wt.% unsaturated polyester resin, 2-12 wt.% crystalline unsaturated polyester styrene-insoluble at room temperature, 0-12 wt.% low-shrink polymer component, 8-20 wt.% reinforcing fiber, 40-70 wt.% filler, 0.1-1 wt.% polymerization initiator, and further additives is required, such that the percentages of the respective components sum to 100.
