PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an efficiency of a reagent mixing operation by providing a sample holding section holding a box-shaped sample holder at a prescribed angle to a rotary axis of a rotor for a centrifugal machine and a movement regulating means for regulating the movement of the box-shaped sample folder by centrifugal force generated by rotation of the rotor for the centrifugal machine. SOLUTION: A rotor 1 consists of a coupling 4 having a drive shaft fastening part 5 and a rotor body 2 consisting of plate-shaped member and is provided with two box-shaped sample holders 10 such as micro plates or micro plate like tube assemblies placed on two parts of the rotor 1 symmetrically with respect to the drive shaft. The rotor body 2 has sample holding sections 3 having smooth faces outwardly upwardly extending symmetrically with respect to the rotary axis and a stopper (movement regulating means) 6 on the top end of the sample holding section 3 to press down an upper end surface of the micro plate 10 for preventing the micro plate 10 of the box-shaped sample holder from moving outwardly by centrifugal force. Side walls 7 which regulate side positions of the micro plates 10 are provided at both side faces of the sample holding sections 3 integrally with the rotor body 2.
