PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing apparatus for a powdery or a granular material in which the object of sterilization is the powdery or the granular material such as a food or a chemical and the sterilization of, e.g. the so-called thermostable spore-forming bacteria can be well carried out. SOLUTION: This sterilizing apparatus for the powdery or granular material is obtained by installing circulating means 10 and 16 for forming a mixed phase stream of the powdery or granular material with a transporting gas stream into a circulating stream in the apparatus body 3 and a feeding means 19 for a germination inducer capable of feeding the germination inducer for the bacteria into the circulating stream in composing the sterilizing apparatus equipped with the apparatus body 3 for housing the powdery or granular material which is the object of sterilization treatment, a gas stream-producing means 4 for producing a gas stream for transporting the powdery or granular material in the apparatus body 3 and a sterilizing means 26 for sterilizing the powdery or granular material. |
