PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which can be applied to a conventional drive and increases its recording capacity without the deviation from specification imposed on a disk. SOLUTION: A track pitch and a linear velocity are in the same level compared with usual ones in a PCA region, a PMA region and a read-in region. On the contrary, at least one of the track pitch and the linear velocity is smaller in a program region and a read-out region than in the PCA region and the PMA region. As the track pitch and the linear velocity are the same as the usual ones in the PCA region, the PMA region and the read-in region, a read-in starting radius, a program starting radius and time from starting the read-in to starting the program can be fixed to satisfy the specification. Now, as one of the track pitch and the linear velocity is smaller in the program region than the usual ones, the recording capacity of the program region can be increased. |
