PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably configure male and female connectors capable of preventing damage even when a plug is twisted while being miniaturized.SOLUTION: Male and female connectors C comprise: a socket 1 that has a first main body 4 formed with a hole part; and a plug 2 that has a second main body 6 including an insertion part 61 inserted into the hole part. At least a pair of opposed inner walls of the hole part have a first inclined plane 43a that is a taper going from an opening of the hole part inwardly in the insertion direction of the insertion part 61. The first inclined plane 43a has a holding part 43b for holding the insertion part 61. The insertion part 61 has a second inclined plane 65c parallel to the first inclined plane 43a in an inserted state. The second inclined plane 65c has an engaged part 65d engaged with the holding part 43b.
