COAL BRIQUETTES, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLTEN IRON

Provided are coal briquet, a production method thereof, and a method for producing molten iron. The coal briquet is rapidly heated after injected into a dome part of a melter gasifier in a molten iron production apparatus which includes (i) the melter gasifier where reduced iron is injected and (ii) a reducing furnace coupled to the melter gasifier and providing reduced iron. The method for producing the coal briquet includes the following steps: (i) providing pulverized coal; (ii) providing a mixture by mixing a powdered cellulose ether compound along with the pulverized coal; (iii) adding water to the mixture and then mixing the same; and (iv) providing the coal briquet by molding the mixture. In the step for providing the coal briquet, the content of the cellulose ether compound contained in the coal briquet is 0.7-2.0 wt%.
