Thixotropic suspensions prepn. Suspensions contng. 15-60% by wt. of compds. of formula (I):- (where X and Y = alkoxy or amino, opt. mono- or di-substd., and M is H, alkali metal or amine salt). are prepd. by mixing the moist filter cake obtd. in the preparation of (I), with a dispersing agent, the resulting soln. being thixotropic, not depositing on storage, and having a Brookfield viscosity of 200-10,000 cps at 6 rpm and up to 2,000 cps at 60 r.p.m. The suspension contg. the blueing agent (I) can be incorporated into detergents, and can be stored for e.g. 12 weeks without deterioration. |
