Binder for an abrasive object contains 100 pts.wt. nitrile rubber, 10-30 pts.wt. of a phenol formaldehyde resin, 5-70 pts.wt. PVC, 1.5-40 pts. wt. sulphur, 3-20 pts.wt. zinc oxide, 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. hexamethylene-tetramine, 5-40 pts.wt. of a plasticiser for PVC, and 0.5-3 pts. wt. of stabilisers for PVC. The binder is easily fabricated and holds the grains of abrasive firmly.
