The cable junction device has a screen (1) through which tubes (3, 4) pass which are used for the insertion of the ends of coaxial cables (17) and for this purpose contain plug contact sockets (15, 24) for making contact on the inner conductor (15) and on the outer conductor (26) of the cable (17). Inside the screen, the tubes (3, 4) have openings (a) through which an electrical connection (20) leads from the respective inner-conductor plug contact socket (15) to an electronic circuit (14) which is contained in the screen (1). Including the sections of the tubes (3, 4) projecting from it, the screen (1) is surrounded by a mechanical protective housing (28). <IMAGE>
