摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the microwave-absorbing heat generator substantially not permitting the transmission of microwaves through the heat generator, efficiently absorbing the microwaves to generate heat in high heat generation efficiency and good in thermal shock resistance and heat generation characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Silicon carbide is deposited by a CVD method on the inner and outer surfaces of the pores of porous carbon produced by carbonizing a resin foam, and then the carbon is oxidatively eliminated to form a silicon carbide porous material. A silicon layer is formed on one side of the produced silicon carbide porous material. The obtained SiC porous material has good microwave-absorbing heat-generating characteristics, because the porous material comprises fine uniform pores. The SiC porous material is extremely good in gas diffusibility because the material is high in porosity and further good in heat convection and thermal shock resistance. The heat generation efficiency is extremely high, because heat capacity is small. Further, since the microwaves do substantially not transmit due to the formation of the silicon layer, the microwave-absorbing heat-generating characteristics are extremely good.
