PURPOSE: To provide a dynamic pressure air bearing for a polygon motor on which is applied surface treatment of excellent workability while having abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction. CONSTITUTION: This dynamic pressure air bearing 33 uses an worn substance generated by sliding between a shaft and a bearing as a lubrication material at the stage of boundary lubrication and mixed lubrication from starting of rotation until the state of fluid lubrication via the state of generation of a dynamic pressure. As the shaft and the bearing to generate the lubrication material, such quality of a material is used for them as to generate the worn product having a lower shear strength then the mother material and moreover to be able to control production quantity of the worn powder owing to treatment applied on the shaft and the bearing. Since the worn product caused by sliding the shaft and the bearing is used as the lubrication material, such a motor can be manufactured that introduction of any special lubrication material to the shaft and the bearing is not necessary beforehand, leading to a low cost and stable sliding. |
