The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a stator blade or a rotor baffle for a rotation device (1), comprising the following steps: (a) providing a strip of sheet metal (801), for instance of stainless steel; (b) bending both longitudinal edge zones (812, 813) of a strip (801) during plastic deformation such that the strip is provided with longitudinal edge zones (812, 813) extending at an angle, for instance a right angle, to the local main plane, which longitudinal edge zones (812, 813) have forms corresponding with the forms of the respective surfaces to which the stator blade or the rotor baffle must be connected in substantially sealing manner.
