<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip mounting structure for a writing instrument which facilitates insertion and positioning of a grip member to a barrel and is free from a trouble that an elastic cylinder gives a hard feel when a finger touches it. <P>SOLUTION: In the grip mounting structure for a writing instrument, a grip member comprising a soft material such as a rubber or the like is fitted to the gripping part of the barrel. The barrel has a protrusion formed at one position of the step part of the gripping part rear end and a rib formed on the gripping part shaft face toward the front on the same line of the protrusion. While, the grip member has a recessed part having a notch shape formed at one position of the rear end, a groove part formed on the outside of the inner hole peripheral face toward the front of the recessed part, and protrusion stripes formed on the outer periphery of the grip member wherein the groove part is positioned so as to provide substantially the same thickness as the surrounding thickness. The grip member is inserted into the barrel, with the recessed part of the grip member being made to face the protrusion of the barrel gripping part rear end, allowing the groove part of the gripping member to be inserted into the barrel rib, and the recessed part of the grip member to be engaged with the protrusion of the barrel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
