<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle which can obtain a sense of acceleration desired by a driver by accurately realizing a target drive torque even when a vehicle speed is changed during gear shifting. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of the hybrid vehicle includes a Ravigneaux type planetary gear unit 2, a first motor generator MG1 and a second motor generator MG2. The controller further includes a target drive force generating means 20 for calculating a target drive power P<SB>0</SB>* and a target drive torque T<SB>0</SB>* from the detected values or the estimated values of a vehicle speed VSP and an accelerator travel AP, a target value generating means 21 for calculating a target engine rotational speed ω<SB>E</SB>* from the target drive power P<SB>0</SB>*, and a target torque arithmetic means for setting the target values T<SB>1</SB>*, T<SB>2</SB>* and T<SB>E</SB>* of first and second motor torques T<SB>1</SB>, T<SB>2</SB>and the engine torque T<SB>E</SB>from any two rotational speed change rates of Ravigneaux type planetary gear unit rotary elements, the target engine rotational speed ω<SB>E</SB>*, the engine rotational speed ω<SB>E</SB>, the target drive power P<SB>0</SB>* and the target drive torque T<SB>0</SB>* so as not to generate the excess or the insufficiency of the drive torque to the target drive torque T<SB>0</SB>* and to reduce the deviations of the engine rotational speed ω<SB>E</SB>from the target engine rotational speed ω<SB>E</SB>*. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
