IP FLOW MEASURING CIRCUIT AND IP FLOW MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP flow measuring circuit and IP flow measuring method capable of precisely performing traffic flow monitoring of only necessary information while keeping a flow table small.

SOLUTION: The IP flow measuring circuit includes a key information extracting part for extracting optional data in an arriving IP packet as first search key information and extracting second search key information with the first search key information and optional data as a combination; a flow table for storing an accumulation counter for accumulating and counting how many times a packet including the first search key information arrives in each first search key information and a new flow counter for accumulating and counting a packet including the second search key information; and a search engine for controlling counting operations of the accumulation counter and the new flow counter and detecting an abnormal traffic on the basis of respective count values and the first search key information or the second search key information.
