PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pipe that can be applied to a reciprocating device.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a heat pipe 1 comprising a main body 3 reciprocated along a prescribed axial line A, a closed annular flow passage 2 formed at the main body and working fluid having boiling point within an applicable temperature range of the heat pipe. The flow passage has a heat receiving part 5 arranged at one side along the axial line and heated; a heat radiation part 6 arranged at the other side along the axial line and cooled; a first passage 7 and a second passage 8 including portions extending along the axial line to connect the heat receiving part and the heat radiation part; and a resisting element 10 arranged in at least one of the heat receiving part, heat radiation part, the first passage and the second passage to generate a large flow passage resistance against a flow of reversing working fluid rather than the flow of working fluid from one side to the other side in a longitudinal direction of the flow passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
