<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium which shows excellent uniformity during solid printing and the high quality level of characters. <P>SOLUTION: This ink jet recording medium has an ink receiving layer composed mainly of an inorganic pigment formed at least on one of the sides of a base. The ink receiving layer contains a cationic resin and a polyether and the ink bleed-through rate(D/d) obtained based on a spherical equivalent diameter(d) sought by the volume of the ink discharged from a nozzle and a dot diameter(D) to be formed upon the impact of the ink to the ink receiving layer of the recording medium falls within the range of 2.2 to 2.4, when the ink jet recording process is performed using an aqueous ink on the ink receiving layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
