A wrapping, particularly for a soap tablet and similar to that described in Specification 876,757 has tabs 22a, 22b, 24a, 24b extending from the ends of the upper and lower liner faces 22, 24, the tabs 24a, 24b being greater in length than half the depth of the side wall 23 and the tabs 22a, 22b being of a length such that the sum of the lengths of a tab 22a(b) and a tab 24a(b) does not exceed the side wall depth. When the ends are folded in with the tabs 22a, 22b and 24a, 24b overlying the remaining tabs and their associated wrapper portions, the wrapper portions beyond the tabs 22a, 22b overlap the portions overlying the tabs 24a, 24b and are heat sealed to them, Figs. 6, 7 (not shown). As in the earlier Specification's arrangement, tear lines 19, 20 are provided to permit tearing back the panel 22 using the tab panel 21. The tip of the latter may be exposed by a slot in the wrapper 11 (not shown) instead of projecting beyond it. The wrapping may be applied by a machine as described in Specification 997,668. |
