<p>Coefficient of friction of yarn is measured by the difference in tension on both sides of a dished plate friction spring. The yarn passes the latter between two return pulleys fixed to a movable spring-loaded beam. Motion of the beam, indicated or recorded, is directly proportional to coefficient of friction of yarn.</p> |
