PRINTER, PRINTING CONTROL METHOD AND PRINTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently spool printing data in a printing system in which digital information equipment for households and a printer are connected. SOLUTION: A home printer inquires of external equipment which is the transmission origin of transmission data as to the presence/absence of a spool function, and the external equipment notifies whether it is provided with the spool function. The home printer detects whether the external equipment which is the transmission origin of the printing data is provided with the spool function, decides the spool destination of the printing data, transmits the signals of printing data reception denial in the case that the external equipment is provided with the spool function and transmits the signals of printing data reception permission in the case that the external equipment is not provided with the spool function. The external equipment spools the printing data inside the external equipment in the case of receiving the denial signals and transmits the printing data to the home printer in the case of receiving the permission signals.
