<p>Prodn. is by (a) reacting a charge stock which contains S with H2 at below 850 degrees F and above 1000 p.s.i.g. in the presence of a catalyst, (b) separating the effluent at the same pressure and 550-750 degrees F in a vaporous phase I and a liquid phase II, (c) separating I at the pressure and 60-140 degrees F into a H2-rich vapour phase III and a liquid phase IV, (d) reacting II with a siliceous/Group VIII metal catalyst at 800 degrees F and above 1000 p.s.i.g. (e) separating the effluent from (d) at the same pressure and 60-140 degrees F into a H2-rich vapour phase V and a liquid phase VI, (f) passing IV and VI to a fractional distillation zone to provide a phase having an initial boiling point of 500-600 degrees F and recovering a gasoline and jet fuel fraction.</p> |
