PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supplier for a printing press which is capable of regulating the amount of ink supplied to an ink roller upon forming an ink film before starting printing more delicately than that in a conventional supplier, and capable of easily forming the ink film of the optimum thickness compared with the same in a conventional supplier. SOLUTION: The ink supplier for a printing press previously forms the ink film, whose thickness is distributed in the axial direction of the printing plate in accordance with a pattern before starting printing. The number of calling times of an ink shifting roller upon forming the ink film before starting the printing is constituted so as to be changeable, and the supplying amount of ink per one calling time of the ink shifting roller upon forming the ink film before starting the printing is smaller than that upon carrying the printing out. |
