PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jacket for an optical disk, on which printing can be performed inexpensively, whose contour can be machined and formed at a low cost, and whose added value such as a decorative effect and tastefulness is high. SOLUTION: The jacket for an optical disk is provided with a protrusion 3 for fitting into a mounting hole 11 at a plane portion 2 capable of covering an information recording surface 10A of an optical disk 10. The protrusion 3 has elasticity of being deflected toward the center side of the mounting hole 11 and slits 4 which allow the deflection of the protrusion itself when it is fitted into the mounting hole 11. Each outer peripheral face 5A of the protrusion 3, which is brought into contact with the mounting hole 11, is formed into the shape of such a slant face that a distance between outer peripheral faces of base portions of respective paired protrusions 5 and 5, each pair being opposed to each other while holding the mounting hole 11 therebetween, is set shorter than a distance between the outer peripheral faces 5A on the protruding end sides of the respective paired protrusions 5 and 5. The protrusion 3 has a protruding extent corresponding to a wall thickness of the optical disk 10. |
