PURPOSE:To prevent stagnation of fluid, by moving a valve body between a position where the valve body closes an outlet port and a position located away from the outlet port, and thereby eliminating the gap between the valve body and a valve cage that has existed in conventional arrangements. CONSTITUTION:In the state that a valve body 5 is held in tight contact with its calve seat 46 and closes an outlet port 9, the lower region of a hollow space 7 formed at an upper part in a valve cage 2 is covered with a cap member 39, so that fluid is prevented from entering into the upper hollow space 7. On the other hand, when a valve rod 4 is moved upward, the valve body 5 is turned pivotally around the lower end of a leg 36 of a valve closing member 16 and opens the outlet port 9. Since, by employing such an arrangement, intrusion of fluid into the upper space 7 is prevented and no sliding gap is formed between the valve body 5 and the valve cage 2, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of troubles even if the fluid to be handled is corrosive. |
