发明名称 OPTICAL TEMPERATURE DETECTION ELEMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the use to a considerably high temperature while elevating mechanical stability with a simple optical construction by employing a quartz rod having a lens effect as heat resistant light guide between an optical fiber and a heat sensitive optical element. CONSTITUTION:A refractive index distribution type quartz rod 31 which is cut to a proper length with the end face ground optically is securely supported with a boron nitride cap 33 as well conductive medium and a support tube 34 in a quartz tube 32 on the sides at both ends thereof. Then, one end face of the rod contacts a heat sensitive optical element 35 while the other thereof is connected to an optical fiber core 37 exposed from an optical fiber cord 36. The optical fiber core 37 and the quartz rod 31 are connected together by filling a gap inside the support tube 34 with an optical adhesive 38 serving as matching the refractive index and this optical adhesive also serve for fixation between the quartz rod and the support tube. For fixation between the quartz tube 32 and the optical fiber cord 36 and between the quartz tube and the support tube, an epoxy adhesive or an optical adhesive is used.
