PURPOSE:To measure attenuation characteristics and variation in fall shock load simultaneously by providing a rotatable drum, a carriage which supports a tire through a load cell, a fall guide frame, an elevating mechanism which engages and disengages freely from the carriage, and a motion track detection sensor. CONSTITUTION:The rotating speed of a motor 5 of a tire fall testing device 1 consisting of the drum part 2, fall part 3, and base 4 is controlled to set the outer circumferential surface speed of the drum 6 as a tire grounding surface, and an air cylinder 41 is put in operation while tire fall distance is set by adjusting the position of a limit switch 54 to elevate the carriage 32 by a detention tool 43 up to the height set with a switch 54, thereby fitting the tire 35 to a tire fitting shaft 34. When the tire 35 is applied with a camber angle, a frame 19 is slanted to the necessary camber angle with an adjusting handle 27. Further, the peripheral speed of the drum 6 is set to 5-100km per hour and the carriage 32 is unlocked the detention to fall by gravitation, thereby measuring the motion track of a detection rod 52 by a sensor 50 and variation in the fall shock load of the shaft 34 by a load cell 33 simultaneously. |
