<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and safety of a packet network by preventing a missing or delayed packet when a transfer route in a network is selected with respect to the transfer system in the packet exchange network. CONSTITUTION:When a line fault takes place in a packet exchange network and a packet received from a caller 1 is transferred to a called party 7 within a prescribed time, a caller station 2 selects all routes able to be transferred to the called party 7 and sends a same packet through them. On the other hand, the called station 6 selects an optimum route from the received packet and informs it to the caller station 2 by a reply packet and the caller station 2 transfers the packet through the replied route in the network.</p> |
