PURPOSE:To reduce a useless space and to decrease a noise picture by detecting a valid picture area so as to correct the outside of the area with a white level and implementing shift of a copy picture, magnification/reduction and selection of paper in response to the size of the area. CONSTITUTION:A picture data read by an image scanner 100 passes through a shift unit 500 and converted into four colors by a color correction unit 600 and a valid picture area is measured by a valid picture detection unit 700. Then the outside of the area is corrected by a white level as a noise picture. Moreover, a controller 300 receives size information outputted from a size detection unit 800 and identifies the set mode. Then the shift of the picture and the copy magnification are adjusted and the recording paper size is selected depending on the size of the valid picture area depending on the mode. Thus, useless space of a copy is reduced and the noise picture is decreased. |
