This node is used for driving the support and tailstock of smaller lathes. It ensures an overlap in driving, so that the tailstock may be positioned quick to the machine's spindle without the use of separate drives for its leading. The nodes are prepared on the lathe's body longitudinal drives of the "swallow tail" type (1), on which are fitted a support board (2) and a tailstock (6). The support board is cut in its top part at a certain length L1 so that the top part of the longitudinal drives is left loose, while the driving part of the tailstock is curtailed from the bottom along the altitude.
