PURPOSE: To shorten the steps and particularly to enhance the molding accuracy of a sound insulation material layer in a method for manufacturing an insulator dash made of the layer and a sound absorbing material layer. CONSTITUTION: A heated hot molding felt and a thermoplastic resin sheet are mounted in this order in a lower mold 30 having protruding strip 32 along the peripheral edge of the mold surface, moved down on a cold press molding upper mold 40, press molded by cold press molding upper and lower molds 30, 40, and simultaneously the sheet is vacuum molded by a vacuum sucking mechanism provided at the mold 40. Simultaneously, cooling air is fed into the felt by a pneumatic mechanism installed at the mold 30 to forcibly cool the thermally molded felt F, and a surface pressure is applied to the sheet. Thus, the molding accuracy of the sheet is enhanced, and the total production cycle is shortened. Since the sealing structure by the strip 32 is employed in the mold, the mold facility can be simplified and the material efficiency is improved. |
