PURPOSE: To provide an ink supply connection member preventing the dripping of ink accompanied by the mounting of an ink cartridge and not introducing a large amt. of the open air into the ink cartridge. CONSTITUTION: An ink supply connection member has an ink introducing part 3 for supplying the ink of a recording head 1 connecting an ink cartridge 14 and a head holder, the seal part 7 slidable along the outer peripheral edge part of the ink introducing part 3 and the elastic member 6 energizing the seal part 7 toward the leading end of the ink introducing part 3. When the ink cartridge 14 is mounted, the seal part 7 is opposed to the ink supply port 14a of the ink cartridge 14 to come into contact with the ink supply port 14 before the ink introducing part 3 comes into contact with an absorbing member 15. The peripheral edge part of the seal part 7 is brought into contact with the ink supply port 14a under pressure accompanied by the mounting of the ink cartridge 14 to seal the ink supply port 14a of the ink cartridge 14. |
