PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting the deviation of a color image forming position and an image forming device using the same capable of surely preventing a pattern for detecting misregistration from being erroneously detected and improving reliability and noise resistance in the case of sampling the pattern for detecting misregistration. SOLUTION: The detection area of the plural patterns for detecting the deviation of a color image forming position successively formed on the surface of an object to be detected is set with the detected pattern for detecting the deviation of the color image forming position as reference in the case of detecting the previous pattern for detecting the deviation of the color image forming position.
