PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency offset correction system and method that can enhance the correction accuracy when a frequency offset is small. SOLUTION: The frequency offset correction system that corrects a frequency offset of a received signal consisting of in-phase component data whose bit rate is variable and quadrature component pilot signal data, is provided with a phase shift estimate section 6 that estimates a phase shift of the pilot data by a plurality of bits of the pilot signal data and estimates a phase shift of the received signal data in the unit of one bit on the basis of the phase shift of the pilot data and with correction sections 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3, 7 that sum the phase shifts of the pilot data respectively, select any of the summed phase shifts of the data, and interrupt the selection of the summed pilot phase shift to the selection of the data phase shift so to correct the frequency offset of the received signal on the basis of the phase shift selected through the interruption. |
