<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile air bag device having a gas filling tube capable of being manufactured by a simple, rational manufacturing technique and assuring given gas supply to individual areas in an air bag. SOLUTION: This automobile air bag device, particularly, a side air bag device, is provided with a gas generator 11 and a gas filling tube 12 made of a metal and connected to the gas generator 11. The gas filling tube 12 is layed or can be layed along the roof rail of an automobile and has gas discharge ports 13 at given intervals, and is connected to an inflateable air bag 14 extended over at least most of the length of the gas filling tube. The air bag 14 consists of individual small chambers 15. Each small chamber 15 is provided with the gas discharging ports 13. Each gas discharging port is formed of at least one side of a notch 17 on the wall of the gas filling tube 12, using the notch 17 and the push part 18 of a tube wall material.</p> |
