The invention relates to a process for manufacturing ceramic products from aluminium nitride which are used as substrates for circuits, electrical devices, crucibles or shields. The process consists in homogenizing aluminium nitride powders containing 63.5...66.2% aluminium, 30.8...33.4% nitrogen and 1...3% oxygen in a liquid medium, uniaxially pressing the homogenized mixture at a pressure of 250...800 MPa and sintering the shaped products preferably at a temperature of 1,700 to 1,800 °C.
